This policy explains what the Chaudhary Samaj app collects, why, and what you can do about it. Chaudhary Samaj is operated by Kush Vijay Chaudhary, an individual proprietor based in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, India.

1. What we collect

Information you give us

CategoryDetails
AccountName, email address, mobile number, password (stored only as a salted hash, never in readable form)
Matrimony profileDate of birth, age, gender, height, marital status, physical status, photographs, and a short biography
LocationCountry, state, city, village, and native place. This is what you type in — the app does not read your device's GPS location.
Community and beliefCommunity, sub-community, caste, sub-caste, religion, mother tongue, dosh, and horoscope details including birth time, birth place, nakshatra and raasi
Education and workEducation, occupation, employment type, annual income and currency
FamilyFather's and mother's names and occupations, number of siblings, family type, status and background
LifestyleEating habits, hobbies, music, sports and cuisine preferences

Only your name, email, mobile number and password are required to create an account. Every other field is optional — a profile with fewer details simply appears in fewer searches.

Information created as you use the app

Payments

Subscriptions are billed through Google Play. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details — Google handles the payment and tells us only whether your subscription is active, and when it expires. We keep a record of your subscription status, plan and expiry date so the app knows what to unlock.

2. Sensitive information

Caste, sub-caste, religion and horoscope details are sensitive personal information. We collect them only because they are how matches are made in a community matrimony service, and only when you choose to enter them. You can leave any of these blank, edit them at any time, or delete your account entirely.

3. Why we use it

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

4. What other members can see

Your profile is visible to other signed-in members of Chaudhary Samaj. It is not visible to the public internet and is not indexed by search engines.

Members without a paid subscription can view a limited number of profiles; the rest are hidden from them entirely, including your name and photograph. Your mobile number is shown to another member only where the app states that it will be.

Profile photographs are served from a content URL. Anyone who has that exact URL can open the image, so please do not upload a photograph you would not want seen outside the app.

5. Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the app. They process data on our instructions only.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect the safety of our members.

6. Where your data is stored

Your information is stored outside India — the database and photographs are held in Japan, and the application runs in the United States. By using Chaudhary Samaj you agree to this transfer. We choose providers that offer appropriate safeguards for data in transit and at rest.

7. How long we keep it

8. Your rights

You can:

We will respond to requests within 30 days.

9. Security

Connections to the app are encrypted with HTTPS. Passwords are stored as salted hashes and never in readable form. Sign-in sessions use signed tokens that expire. Access to profile details is checked on the server for every request, not only hidden in the app.

No service can promise perfect security, but we take these measures seriously and fix problems when we find them.

10. Children

Chaudhary Samaj is a matrimonial service and is not for children. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, and at least the legal age of marriage in India to use it for its intended purpose. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will remove it.

11. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.

12. Grievances

If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, contact our grievance officer:
