This page explains how to delete your account in the Chaudhary Samaj app, and exactly what is removed when you do.

How to delete your account in the app

Open Chaudhary Samaj and sign in.
Tap Settings in the bottom navigation bar.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
Type DELETE in the confirmation box to confirm.
Tap Delete Account again. Your account is removed immediately and you are signed out.

If you cannot open the app

Email support@chaudharysamaj.com from the address registered on your account, with the subject Delete my account. We will confirm your identity, delete the account, and reply to confirm within 30 days — usually much sooner.

Deleting your account cannot be undone. Your profile stops being visible to other members straight away, and your matches and conversations are removed for both people.

What is deleted

Deleted immediately and permanently:

Your account — name, email address, mobile number and password
Your matrimony profile — date of birth, gender, height, location, community, caste, religion, horoscope details, education, occupation, income, family details, lifestyle answers and biography
Your photographs
Interests you have sent and received, and your matches
Messages you have sent
Your notification and privacy settings, and saved searches
Your membership record

What is kept, and for how long

Payment records — where you have paid for a membership, the record of that transaction is retained for up to 8 years to meet Indian tax and accounting requirements. It contains the amount, date and subscription period, and no profile information. Payments themselves are processed by Google Play, which keeps its own records under its policies.
Server logs — routine technical logs may retain a record of requests for up to 30 days before being overwritten.

Nothing else is retained. We keep no backup copy of a deleted profile.

Cancelling a paid membership

Deleting your account does not by itself cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel it separately in the Play Store under Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions, or it will continue to renew.
